Even if you don’t normally appreciate Sauvignon Blanc, run with me here. This is to white wine what Tarras The Canyon Pinot Noir is to red - it is exceptionally great to drink and with only 222 cases ever made it is rare.Principally from the Awatere Valley the grapes were harvested at the perfect time in cool evening temperatures to maintain fruit condition. 20% of this blend was fermented and aged in seasoned French oak barrels giving texture, weight and complexity. With the sharp angles rounded off this wine is compelling and thought provoking with dense, elegant tropical and citrus fruits and a long finish.
